Charmaine is an experienced counsellor with 16 years of experience in working with families, children, teenagers, individuals and couples. She has a varied client base ranging from the court systems, police, schools and community referrals to private clients, EAP and ACC clients.

She believes in a non-judgmental, strengths-based, person-centred approach and works with the client's value systems and self motivation toward sustained change. She uses an eclectic blend of tools from modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Art Therapy and Experiential Therapies (Sand, Clay, Play); adapting her practice to her clients needs and emotional safety. She specialises in trauma intervention, working with children and family work.

Charmaine holds a Masters in Counselling from Monash University and has trained in family therapy, trauma intervention, mediation and art therapies. She also holds a Degree in Psychology.

Charmaine is the Clinical Director of Goodity Co and a full member with New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC).
